The 09 wrx is supposed to be great. A lot more power then the 08, a better tuned suspension and better tires. Most reviews say its a lot better than the previous model years. It even accelerates faster from 0-60 than the stock sti. The only thing that has me a bit worried is this thread I found on nasioc.

I have one. I really like it a lot but I had an F-250 before so I don't have much to compare it to. I did drive my girlfriends 2010 GTI for a little bit the other day, the wrx has a much stiffer suspension and is obviously faster. I read pretty much every internet review on the car before I bought it and the consensus seems to be that the performance is great, but people arn't liking the way it looks. It has a stiffer suspension, larger turbo & intercooler(i think) than the year before. There are lots of great video reviews online, you should check some of them out. If you drove an 08 and liked it you'll love the 09, its a better looking faster version.
