My dad is in Delray Beach and is getting shafted by the usual chain type places. He needs a shop that's not a "part's replacer" and will troubleshoot and replace what's necessary including with salvaged parts if necessary. His AC compressor is shot and he just basically needs it replaced with a pulley or to have the pulley on the compressor disconnected from the internals of the compressor. He was quoted over $1000 by the place he went and they scared him into not driving saying his brakes would go if the compressor seized up.
