the playstation 3 is a peice of shit.

and if mine wasn't free i would have never bought it. not even for metal gear solid, or this gran tourismo game they keep talking about but never have any proof it will ever exist.

The PS3 is a piece of shit? AHAHAHA! You can't be for real, with the RROD being at over 33% and M$ actually selling them knowing they where broken as they where coming off the assembly line at around a 68% faliure rate! Look everybody has a preferance to whatever console but if you're a REAL gamer you play everything on anything.

As for Gran Turismo, Polyphony Digital has been known to take their time to make a QUALITY game, not one like the Forza Series that has cookie cutter unrealistc damage, crappy textures & inaccurate tracks. It takes PD 1 month PER CAR to render (especially with the new in car view available) so do the math when they are expecting to have over 700 cars available, this plus the totally new revamp of the physics coding (as currently in GT5 Prologue) shows the attention to detail PD puts in the GT Series (GT is hands down the #1 game in the PS library with over 50 Million games sold over 6-7 different titles made across 3 platforms greater than ANY & ALL so called "exclusive" on the 360 )

P.S. if you really are giving away your PS3 (though doubtful) I know of a kid/family who's Christmas present PS3 was stolen during a home robbery recently and I know they would definately appreciate it.


Edit: Hey Riosseb if you are seriously thinking about getting a 360 let me know so I can help you to find out which 360 has the newest MB's that use 45nm chips etc. in them so as to minimize your RROD chances

i've never had the red ring of death issue on a 360 and i've had 3 of them. i modded one and melted the motherboard but thats it.

my playstation 3 is currently a 10 pound brick and sony wants 200 bucks to fix it because i'm a week off warranty, for something that they admit is a error on their part.

it really is a fantastic product. i give nothing but props to M$ (and i'm an apple guy) that if the xbox has a hardware error they fix it for free; sure they may not have the fastest turnaround but its FREE (sony take a note). the 15 or so hours i have logged on my ps3 did not make up for what it would have cost had i paid for it, sure it may be a total tank, but the best tanks are tanks that work.

im more of a playstation person.. ive had all 3 consoles and loved each one of them.. as for gran turismo not being realistic, well its not foar from forza.. i jsut saw on the video the car being hit at like 45mph+ and the back bumper falls off.. not much reality there.. Need for speed has the same crash effects.. One thing i dont like about the 360 or xbox general.. the insane amount of buttons it has.. compared to the PS3.. face it theres no game that has real life effects.. some have really good effects but nothing special... for example need for speed pro street Vs Forza... they might be different types of racing but have the same meaning.. modifying cars, racing them.. getting damage into them.... im not saying the xbox sucks, im just saying some people preffer one over the other because of personal reasons.... My ps3 bricked too, like yours kerry... right before i went to colombia.. it was sitting there for 3 months and then when i got back i called sony, my warranty was done, they guy understood and took mine, and gave me a brand new one. Its a console.. nothing is perfect, everything has its ups and downs. now with that said.. PS3 FTW! lol
