-Naval Jelly Rust Remover_This is used to remove the rust. Use liberally. It is a pinkish color but goes on clear. Use with caution, do not let it touch the skin or any uncovered part of the body. It eats away at rust so it can eat away at skin. If swallowed contact poison control and do not induce vommiting. Drink lots of water(says it right there on the bottle) If you get it on paint wipe away immidiatly

Todays Target: 1994 Nissan 240sx convertible
-Removed back seats and noticed considerable surface rust
First I got on the latex gloves and opened up the Jelly. I started with the small paintbrush to cover the affected area.
I then started to get tired of using such a small brush so i started covering the area using the plastic knife as a spread like the jelly was butter.
Make sure when you have covered the area let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Let it sit for longer if it is a heavy area.
Once the area you are trying to target has been covered and has sit for a short period of time take a paper towel and dampen it. use the paper towel and wipe off the areas you covered with the Naval Jelly. Then take a dry paper towel and dry off the dampened areas.
If there is still some rust left over from when you did the Jelly. Hit it with another coat of the Jelly. Maybe you didnt let it sit long enough or you didnt put enough on the affected area. If that doesnt work you can always sand it down till smooth.
And when done it should look fairly good or somewhat better.
Final Note; This Naval Jelly doesnt always completly remove the rust. For me it did remove it in some areas and reduced it down in others. I am very impressed with its performace. It worked out well. The whole back is pretty good. I will do a little bit more tomorow and let you all know how it goes. This is a precursor to the bondo process. I will repeat all of these steps during the process and create another DIY for the bondo.
